Ridgeland fishing for science
Students during Ridgeland High School in Rossville denounced the latest aquaponics (fish as well as vegetation) hothouse Wednesday. The greenhouse, paid for by the $ 700,000 sovereign STEM accede to awarded to Walker County Schools, provides real-world labs for science, engineering as well as math classes.
RIDGELAND’S CATCH
• 250 tilapia about 60 grams each
• 2,000 tilapia about 4 grams each
• 130 channel trout about 3.5 pounds any (about 1,587 grams)
